Fifteen questions, a reward ladder to ₦50,000, and friends to challenge. Here's the whole game — on all three platforms.

Step 3
Get access credits (for Classic Mode)
In the bot, type BUY; on the web, open the credits screen. One credit enters one round, credits never expire, and payment is encrypted end to end. Prices below are a guide — the app always shows current prices before you pay.

Step 4
Play the round
- A question appears with 4 options (A, B, C, D)
- You have 12 seconds by default — tap on the web, reply A/B/C/D in chat. Timers get shorter as questions get harder and can change from round to round, so watch the clock on each question
- Correct? You climb to the next reward tier
- Wrong or timeout? The round ends — but any milestone tier you passed is yours to keep
- Quit on the web? You leave with nothing from that round, milestones included — so play it out
🛡️ To keep things fair, you may be asked to pass a security check during a round — a CAPTCHA, a quick photo, or another check — and Turbo Mode may raise the tempo. Failing a check ends the round with no reward.
Step 5
Spend your lifelines wisely
50 : 50
Removes two wrong answers, leaving two options. Tap the lifeline on the web, or type "50" in chat. Once per round.
Skip
Swaps the current question for a fresh one at the same difficulty. Tap Skip on the web, or type "SKIP" in chat. Once per round.
💡 Pro tip: save both lifelines for Q11–Q15, where the tiers are steepest. 50:50 also buys you 5 extra seconds. In challenges, only 50:50 is available.

🔒 Milestones: reach Q5 and ₦1,000 is locked in; reach Q10 and ₦10,000 is locked in — retained even if you fall short later.
Step 6
Redeem your reward
- Type CLAIM in the bot, or tap the claim button in the web lobby — within 72 hours of winning
- Provide your Nigerian bank details — account name must match your registered name
- KYC verification applies to redemptions over ₦10,000
- Processing completes within 12–24 hours
- Holding more than one reward? They're all listed, and claimed one at a time. Challenge prizes and refunds are claimed the same way
⚠️ Rewards must be redeemed within 72 hours of earning them; unredeemed rewards are forfeited.
Challenge-A-Friend(s)
Challenge your friends
- Choose Challenge a Friend — option 6 in the chat menu, type CHALLENGE, or tap it in the web lobby
- Pick your categories, then choose anytime (everyone plays when it suits them) or live (everyone plays at the same moment, in the browser)
- Share your invite link with one friend or a group of up to 20. Invitations stay open for 48 hours
- Everyone gets the same 15 questions at 10 seconds each. Highest score wins; on a tie, the fastest total time wins
- Every player gets a result card with the final standings
Free to join
Accepting a challenge never costs you anything and never uses an access credit. The creator may pay a setup charge, shown before paying.
Put up a prize
Creators aged 18+ can sponsor ₦1,000 to ₦100,000 for the winner, plus a 15% platform fee. If the challenge doesn't complete, the prize comes back in full.
🕔 Live challenges: the lobby opens 5 minutes before the start. If friends are running late, the creator can push the start back by 5 minutes, up to twice.

Extras on web play
- Install it: add play.whatsuptrivia.com.ng to your home screen and it opens full screen, like an app
- Get a heads-up: allow notifications and we'll tell you when a live challenge lobby opens — nothing else
- Review your games: go back over any game from the last 72 hours, question by question, from Your stats
- One device at a time: a Classic round plays on one device; opening it elsewhere stops the first
